Minimum pension calculator, FY 2026-27
The percentages did not change this year. The base did, because the minimum recalculates every 1 July from that day's balance. A standing order set against last year's number quietly undershoots. Enter the 1 July balance and age; the calculator applies the Schedule 7 band and the $10 rounding, nothing else.
$25,000
5% of the 1 July balance, rounded to the nearest $10: the full-year minimum.
Age bands (SIS Sch 7): under 65: 4% · 65-74: 5% · 75-79: 6% · 80-84: 7% · 85-89: 9% · 90-94: 11% · 95+: 14%. Pensions commenced during the year pro-rate by days remaining; commenced on or after 1 June, no minimum applies for that year.
SMSF Core's pension module saves the 1 July balance, computes the minimum from the member register's date of birth, and tracks every payment against it through the year. The sample fund at app.smsfcore.com/demo has a saved pension in it. Related reading: the pension rule that did not change on 1 July, and the age-band table with a worked example.
